POSITIVE EDUCATION IN PRACTICE: CASE STUDIES FROM THE TRENCHES
Skylight Trust and Christchurch Boys' High School - working together to deliver the Travellers Resilience-building Programme from the trenches
Skylight's Travellers programme is a Year 9 resilience building tool delivered in schools (high schools, intermediates and alternative education providers) throughout Aotearoa for the past 15 years. It has been monitored, evaluated, and adjusted over this time and the effectiveness of the programme is confirmed through the results of formal evaluations, backed up by ongoing support from schools across different communities and school deciles. One of these schools is Christchurch Boys' High School. Suz Mowat at CBHS has delivered Travellers to a range of Year 9 students for several years and has identified a range of benefits for students. Lisa, Caroline and Suz will share insights about the Travellers Programme during this session.
